This Fire Awareness Course in Essex is one-day seminar is for persons nominated as fire marshals or fire wardens in their place of work.The course covers basic fire safety, fire extinguishers, day to day fire marshal duties, emergency responsibilities and types of evacuation procedures.
We conduct our On Site Fire Marshall Training Courses in Essex, Suffolk, London, Norfolk, East Anglia including, Colchester, Chelmsford, Braintree, Maldon, Tiptree, Witham, Tendring, Ipswich, Sudbury, Bury st Edmunds, Stowmarket, Cambridge, Newmarket, Thetford, Diss, and all surrounding areas. For individual booking we offer training at our training rooms in Ipswich Road in Colchester.
Who Should Attend?
Fire marshals who have been nominated to carry out the organizations Fire Evacuation Procedure. It is also suitable for managers or supervisors who have a responsibility for implementing new evacuation procedures or upgrading existing procedures to ensure the effectiveness of workplace safety systems.
Course Aims
By the end of this course our attendees will have:
- A thorough understanding of the dangers of fire and smoke
- The knowledge to correctly identify different classes of fire and to select an appropriate extinguisher to tackle fires, if it is safe to do so
- The capability to recognise fire hazards and the correct actions to rectify them.
- An understanding of the need for regular fire drills
- The ability to identify the various methods of evacuation and accounting systems and determine the best method for their place of work.
